China Harbin International Economics and Trade Fair is the major window of exhibition for Northeast China toward Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States. 18 fairs have been organized since 1990, which are of great importance to the trade and economic cooperation between China and Russia. In order to further upgrade and promote the impact of the fair, since 2005, Ministry of Commerce co-hosted the fair together with Hei Longjiang Provincial Government.

In the interests of boosting Sino-Russian communication, and strengthening the importance of Harbin Fair as the window to Russia, Ministry of Commerce of China made joint hands with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia and organized the Russian Business Day during the 16th 17th and 18th Harbin Fair. Government officials from both countries briefed the favorable treatment and prioritized areas in cooperation and organized conferences and seminars to enterprises of same business area from both sides as well as promotional events for the Russian states.

During the 19th Harbin Fair, Ministry of Commerce of China will continue to host the Russian Business Day together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia and Heilongjiang Provincial Government.
