In order to facilitate the 6th WTO Ministerial Meeting in Hong Kong, China in December, 2005, WTO Informal Ministerial Meeting was organized by the China’s Ministry of Commerce in Dalian, China on July12-13.

About 350 representatives attended this meeting, including WTO Director-General, Chairman of WTO General Council and chairmen of four negotiating bodies on agriculture, non-agriculture, service and development, as well as 30 WTO member countries. The meeting was co-chaired by Minister of Commerce, Bao Xilai and Secretary for HK Commerce, Industry and Technology, Zeng Junhua. During the meeting, in order to reach consensus, the attendants discussed the international trade problems concerning agricultural issues, market access and development of non-agricultural products, service and negotiations on rules etc.

The China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) undertook the logistics service and organizing task of this meeting.
