In a bid to improving the quality of Tibet tourism industry, optimizing tourism officials' skill and cultivating qualified talents for Tibet tourism industry under the new trend and present requirement, our programme organized the High Level Tourism Officials Training in Sichuan University . The training ， started on the 17 th November,2007, lasted for 2 months and covered almost all essential officials of TAR tourism system. The training adopted a flexible teaching method integrated with both plentiful fundamental theory and vivid cases. Moreover, tailor-made curriculums are organized in accordance with reality and necessity of Tibet , expanding from World Heritage Management, Tourism Planning and Product Promotion to Village and Community Tourism, Ecological Tourism and Travel Service Management. Besides the national experts, we invited two international experts, Mr. Larry Yu and Mr. Holger Perner to give lectures on the advanced experiences of international practices. From the reports delivered by the trainees we found that this training had met the previous expectation, achieved good effect and received sincere appreciation from the students. Through training, the students, on one hand improved their professional skills and knowledge, on the other hand ignited their passion for tourism services. All of the curriculums will definitely exert active influence to the students in their future work.
