In order to improve our country's science and technology
management level and the innovation capacity of High-tech
enterprises, and cultivate a group of persons who, with multiple
abilities, are well-informed of not only the latest trend
in international science and technology development, but also
enterprise management, CICETE, UNDP and Torch High-tech Industry
Development Center of MOST signed a cost-sharing agreement
under the three-year program "Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriated Nationals and Senior Technical Advisor Recruitment" (in short TOKEN/STAR program). The program is designed to invite a group of overseas Chinese scholars to organize training workshops on technical initiation and management, governmental support, risk investment concerning with high-tech enterprises, and technology imports and exports policy as well as construction and programming of Science and technology gardens.
In the past two years, the project has undertaken many influential activities, such as Shanghai International Enterprises Incubating and Initiative Conference, Overseas Scholar High-tech Industries Development Forum, Suzhou High-tech Industries Development Zone organized for Investigation Journey to USA and Torch Center's investigation journey to Europe. These activities proved to be a success in spreading new concept for technology initiation, encouraging oversea Chinese scholars to return to deliver lectures and start an undertaking, and promote the implementation of State Torch Plan. |
