| On December 12, 2001, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC) jointly established "The Intellectual Property Rights Protection Project". The said project was aimed to push the local governments, commercial chambers and enterprises to play still more positive role in the aspect of protection of intellectual property rights. China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) was the government executive organization for the project, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) was in charge of implementing the project. The main contents of the project were: launch a series of training programs and publicity drives in order to raise the consciousness and ability of the public towards the protection of intellectual property rights. |
